A little about me...

I’m a wife, mother, artist & teacher - a dreamer, designer, creator and collaborator.  Art has been fuel for my life; giving my imagination a place to grow and spread.  My confidence today sprouted from my ability to create and express myself as a child. My dream is to provide children the space and freedom to imagine beyond what they thought possible - putting paint to paper & seeing the cause and effects of trying new things!

I graduated from Winthrop University in 2005 with a BFA in graphic design. I decided to put my design career on hold when I was given the opportunity to teach art at a local elementary school. When the decision was made to homeschool our three kids, I found it challenging to create the art room experience that impacted me as a child. It's not solely about teaching art to children but more importantly, allowing children to do art. This is where the magic happens! Learning about an artist's history and their technique provides a runway for imagination to take flight.

...This is the experience I was after - bringing the atmosphere of the art class to my home!

This is where Vivid Art School comes into play. I believe that our primary years pave the way for later successes, and providing an atmosphere that promotes creative thinking is a beautiful gift we can give our children. It has been evident in my life that these opportunities can create a more self-aware, empathetic and collaborative individual. That said, It would be a joy and privilege to share my love for art with your child.

So be brave, experiment, and fear no art!
